Christmas Baking (8, 15 November)
Date: 8, 15 November
Time: 10 am – 1 pm
Cooking Teacher: Jane, Head Chef at The Pantry
Detailed description of class:
Make your Christmas cake, mince pies, snow ball cookies, and clove oranges! There is nothing better than homemade Christmas delicacies, and you will get to use my grandmother’s recipe to make your Christmas cake. The Pantry will then feed the cake for you and you can come back and ice it in early December. You will prepare your families’ mincemeat, and this will mature for 6 weeks to be ready for mince pies and carols on Christmas Eve. Then make snowballs (great cookies that are ideal for stocking fillers) and clove oranges to hang on the door.
Menu for class:
Lesson 1: Christmas fruit cake. Make your Christmas fruit cake and we will feed it. In early December you can pop in and finish it off so the cake is ready for Christmas eve!
Lesson 2: Mincemeat, Snowballs, and Clove Oranges
