Cooking Teacher: Chef Endy
Detailed description of class:
Have you ever thought that lemongrass, coconut, shallots, chillies, ginger, turmeric, turmeric leaf, galangal or another name for it, blue ginger, could be in a dish? Yes and that is in my Grandma’s recipe for Beef Rendang! If that doesn’t convince you, how about learning to make your own steamed fish and popiah? The class also promotes a better understanding of how Singapore cuisine is derived from the culinary traditions of our ancestral lands. You’ll learn different cooking style from stir-frying, stewing and boiling. No ovens required.
Menu for class:
Lesson one: Fried Wanton(Dumpling), Stir–fried Xiao Bai Chye (a leaf vegetable), Beef Rendang.
Lesson two: Popiah (spring rolls), fried rice, steamed fish and stir fried vegetable. [print_link]
